Turtle Lake, ND — Northland Health Centers is offering a Men’s Wellness Special, available January 1–31. This specially priced health promotion offers two tailored options to support men in proactively managing their wellbeing:
- Option 1 – $30
Includes a Lipid Panel, Basic Metabolic Panel, and Vital Check. - Option 2 – $50
Includes the tests from Option 1, plus a Prostate‑Specific Antigen (PSA) Test.
“Preventive screenings are one of the most powerful tools we have to protect men’s health. By identifying risks early, we can take steps that lead to better outcomes and peace of mind,” said Melissa McClintock, FNP-C & Medical Director of Northland Health Centers.
Once the lab results are collected, the samples will be read by your healthcare team, and each participant will receive a notification on their patient portal with the findings. Together with your primary care provider, men will be able to better understand what precautions they need to take to lower their risks or identify serious health concerns early.
The lipid panel test will help detect signs of high cholesterol that could indicate increased risk of heart disease or stroke. The basic metabolic panel will show results that indicate overall electrolyte balance and kidney functions. Meanwhile, those that elect to do the PSA test will learn more about their risk of developing prostate cancer.
According to the American Cancer Society, “about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime” — making early detection vitally important for effective treatment and better outcomes. Northland Health Centers is expanding our offer this year to include the PSA test to raise awareness and to be proactive in the fight against prostate cancer that effects thousands of men each year.
